Who we are

This website belongs to AA Design Group, a family-owned interior design and renovation company serving St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and the Niagara Region. We're responsible for the personal information you send through it.

This policy explains what the website collects, why, who handles it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us about it.

    What the quote form collects

When you ask for a free consultation, the form collects:

    • Your name, email address and phone number
    • The project's address
    • What you're renovating, a description of the project, and whether you have drawings
    • When you'd like to start, the kind of appointment you prefer and your budget range
    • How you heard about us
    • Any photos you add

    How we use it

We use what you send to:

    • Get back to you about your project and book your consultation
    • Prepare a proposal and, if you go ahead, do the work
    • Confirm your request by email and follow up about it for up to six months
    • Understand which of our ads and pages bring in requests

    Where your information goes

Your request is saved in the website's own database and your photos in its own file storage, both hosted by Cloudflare. A copy comes to our business email.

A few service providers help run the website: a web host and storage (Cloudflare), our business email, which also sends the website's emails (Google Workspace), and a spam check that confirms a visitor is a person (Cloudflare Turnstile). They handle your information only to provide those services.

Address suggestions in the form come from Google Maps. The website asks Google on your behalf, so Google sees the letters you type but not your device or your other answers.

      Cookies, advertising and analytics

The website sets a few cookies of its own. One remembers your answer to the cookie notice for a year. Two note where a visit came from (an ad, a search or another website) and the first page you saw, so we can tell which ads and pages lead to quote requests. They hold no name or contact details, and they're kept with your request if you send one, along with how long each step of the quote form took.

The website also counts, on its own server, which main pages are opened and which steps of the quote form are reached, using a code that lasts only while the browser tab is open. These counts carry no ad cookies and are kept in our own advertising system, hosted by Cloudflare.

Unless you turn ads off, the website uses the Meta Pixel, an advertising tool from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It tells Meta which page you're on and when you start, move through or send the quote form, along with technical details such as your IP address and browser and a random code the website gives your browser. The website and Meta set cookies to recognise your browser, and Meta may connect this to your Facebook or Instagram account. We use it to see which of our Facebook and Instagram ads bring visitors and requests, and to show our ads to people who have visited the website. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy). The private photo page doesn't use it.

When you send the quote form, the website's own server also tells Meta about the request directly (Meta's Conversions API), so it's counted even if your browser blocks the pixel. It sends a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address, phone number, name, city and postal code, which Meta uses to match the request to an account, and the type of project you picked, but never your street address, your description or your photos. Later it may tell Meta the same way when a request becomes a quote or a booked job, with its price, so we can see which ads bring real jobs. Your IP address and browser go with it and are deleted from our advertising system once Meta has them (within 7 days). If you fill in the quote form, the Meta Pixel may also send Meta a scrambled copy of the email address or phone number you type.

Unless you turn ads off, the website also uses Microsoft Clarity to see how people use its pages: where they click or tap, how far they scroll, how long they stay, and recordings of visits played back as a replay. What you type into the quote form is hidden from it. Microsoft sets its own cookies for this and handles the information under its privacy statement (privacy.microsoft.com). The private photo page doesn't use it.

The spam check may set a security cookie to tell people from bots. Its provider describes it as strictly necessary and says it isn't used to track you from site to site.

Separately, you can change your ad settings in Facebook or Instagram (Accounts Center, Ad preferences), block third-party cookies in your browser, or use an ad blocker.

Use the switch below to turn them off: the Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity and the website's own messages to Meta ("Details" on the website's notice and "Ad settings" at the bottom of every page bring you here). It works at once: they stop loading, the website deletes the ad cookies it can reach, and nothing more about your visits or requests goes to Meta. Your choice is kept for a year, and the website works the same either way. What was sent before you turned it off can't be called back.

        How long we keep it

We keep a request for up to two years after we last hear from you, and the records of a job we did for as long as the law and our warranty require. Then we delete them.

          Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us. Every follow-up email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop as soon as you use it.
